PARAMS-TO-ALTER
lets you select specific parameters to be altered in the configuration directory.
Y Select the field for alteration.
N Disable the field from alteration.
The meanings of EXTOBJ and SYS-LANG-CMAP-ID are explained under
PARAM-VALUES, later in this description.
RESERVED-2 through RESERVED-7
are reserved for use by Tandem. These fields must be set to N.
If EXTOBJ and SYS-LANG-CMAP-ID are not set to either Y nor N, then E-MUST-
BE-YN is returned. If the RESERVED-2 through RESERVED-7 subfields are not all
set to N, E-MUST-BE-N is returned.
PARAM-VALUES
contains the new values for the system.
EXTOBJS
indicates whether the external objects capability is enabled or disabled:
Y Enable external objects.
N Disable external objects.
SYS-LANG-CMAP-ID
contains the LANGUAGE-ID and CHAR-MAP-ID subfields. LANGUAGE-ID
indicates the national language in which data is entered and displayed on this
system (node). The values permitted in this field are listed in Appendix D. If
you supply a language ID outside the range from 1 through 99,
E-LANGUAGE-INVALID is returned. If you specify a language ID that is
valid but that is not supported at the current node, E-LANGUAGE-NOT-
FOUND is returned.
CHAR-MAP-ID
identifies the character map for the character set used to enter data at the
node. This map relates native codes to characters in the character set. The
character set is indicated by the following subfields:
CODE-PAGE-ID
identifies the base (canonical) character set on which the character map is
based. This subfield should always be set to the code that indicates the
base character set used by the TRANSFER system. A value of 0 is always
accepted to indicate this code. (The standard base character set is
identified by the code 65300.)
