START-SESSION-B40
TISERV UOW Descriptions
2–498 069139, Update 1 to 40969 Tandem Computers Incorporated
APPLIC-ID
is the numeric application ID, as defined by your application. All packages
created during this session inherit this attribute as part of their item descriptor;
you can then use this field as an agent-selection criterion at depots receiving this
package. The values 100 through 999 are reserved for use by Tandem; see
Appendix A in the TRANSFER Programming Guide for reserved APPLIC-ID values.
CORR-NAME
is the name of the correspondent represented by the requesting process. This
name must be previously defined in the system through the CREATE-DEPOT
UOW.
PASSWORD
is the password required to establish the session, as defined in the system by the
ALTER-PROFILE-ELEM UOW.
CURR-LOCAL-TIME
is the current date and time as obtained by the requesting process. The
TRANSFER delivery system uses this field to determine whether a time difference
exists between requester and server. If a difference does exist, the TRANSFER
delivery system applies it to the adjustment of various timestamps used in the
delivery of packages.
REDEF-LOCAL-TIME
redefines the CURR-LOCAL-TIME field for SCREEN COBOL coding convenience.
LANG-CMAP-ID
contains the LANGUAGE-ID and CHAR-MAP-ID subfields. LANGUAGE-ID
indicates the national language that is the preferred language for this session. The
values permitted in this subfield are listed in Appendix D. If LANGUAGE-ID is
set to 0, the TRANSFER delivery system selects the default language for sessions,
as noted under “START-SESSION-B40 UOW Operation”. CHAR-MAP-ID
identifies the preferred character map for the session. This map relates native
codes to characters in the character set. The character set is indicated by the
following subfields:
CODE-PAGE-ID
identifies the base character set on which the character map is based. This
subfield should always be set to the code that indicates the base character set
used by the TRANSFER system. A value of 0 is always accepted to indicate
this code. (The standard base character set is identified by the code 65300.)
