Appendix B Status Packages
069139, Update 1 to 40969 Tandem Computers Incorporated B–1
The TRANSFER TAREQ process generates status packages for certain events that can
occur during delivery of a package. Status packages provide error or status
information and include the actual package that triggered the event. The application
ID for packages generated byTRANSFER is always TAREQ (100).
The agent selector value indicates the event that triggered the package, as entered in
the AGENT-SELECTOR field of the agent notification message. This appendix lists
status packages in numeric order by agent-selector field and describes their formats.
TAREQ event packages 1-17 have a common format; TAREQ event packages
numbered 22 or higher have various formats.
Depending on the setting of the ERR-PKG-SUPPRESS-FLAGS field of the sender-
submitted package, the TAREQ might not generate an event package to reflect an
error. The sender sets these flags.
Event Packages 1-17 Event packages 1-17 are generated with a common predefined format. Figure B-1
shows the format for TAREQ event packages 1-17. The content of the text item within
this package depends on the agent selector value (event), as indicated in Figure B-2.
The agent selector value also determines where the message is sent:
Messages with the following selector values are transmitted to the sender of the
package: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17.
Messages with the following selector values are sent to the recipient: 5, 9, 11, and
12.
