Changes in the July 1996 Revision of the Manual
This is the first edition of the TS/MP Management Programming Manual. This manual
replaces the TS/MP portions of both the NonStop TS/MP and Pathway Management
Programming Commands Manual and the NonStop TS/MP and Pathway Management
Programming Messages Manual.
The Pathway transaction processing software has been repackaged as two separate
products:
•
Transaction Services/MP (TS/MP), consisting of the Pathsend procedure calls, the
LINKMON process, the PATHMON process, and the PATHCOM process and
interface.
•
Pathway/Transaction Services (Pathway/iTS), consisting of the terminal control
process (TCP), SCREEN COBOL, and the SCREEN COBOL Utility Program
(SCUP).
Because of this product split, the NonStop TS/MP and Pathway Management
Programming Commands Manual and the NonStop TS/MP and Pathway Management
Programming Messages Manual have been split and recombined into these two
manuals:
•
TS/MP Management Programming Manual
•
Pathway/iTS Management Programming Manual
This rearrangement gathers all programmatic management information (commands
and messages) for each product into a single manual that describes that product
alone.
This manual is for programmers writing management applications to manage a TS/MP
environment. Because the Pathway/iTS product can be used only in conjunction with
TS/MP, the TS/MP Management Programming Manual is a prerequisite for
programmers writing management applications to manage Pathway/iTS objects.
