For information specific to managing a Pathway subsystem, read:
•
Introduction to NonStop Transaction Processing. This manual describes the
environment, components, and benefits of HP transaction processing products,
including TS/MP, Pathway/iTS, and related products such as NonStop Transaction
Management Facility (TMF) and the NonStop Tuxedo transaction processing
system.
•
TS/MP System Management Manual. This manual is a prerequisite to the manual
you are reading. It describes how to start, configure, and manage a Pathway
subsystem using the PATHCOM interactive management interface to TS/MP. It
describes TACL commands and PATHCOM commands used to start, configure,
and manage a PATHMON-controlled environment on NonStop systems. This
manual also includes information on monitoring and adjusting your Pathway
subsystem to optimize performance, and on diagnosing and fixing problems, as
well as manageability guidelines on topics such as how to start PATHMON-
controlled objects in parallel to help performance.
For information on other informational, warning, and error messages, read:
•
Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual. This manual describes the
Guardian messages for NonStop systems. The manual covers error codes and
error lists associated with Guardian procedure calls, the interprocess messages
sent to application programs by the operating system and the command
interpreter.
For information on other TS/MP interfaces, read:
•
TS/MP Pathsend and Server Programming Manual. This manual describes the
Pathsend procedure calls, how to write requester programs that use these calls,
and how to write Pathway servers that work with all types of requesters. It also
describes how to write Pathsend requesters and Pathway servers that interoperate
with NonStop Tuxedo applications.
For information about other HP NonStop products associated with TS/MP
management programming, see:
•
Pathway/iTS Management Programming Manual. This manual describes the
token-oriented management programming interface to the Pathway/ Transaction
Services (Pathway/iTS) product. It describes how to use SPI commands in a
management application that configures and controls Pathway/iTS objects (those
related to terminal control processes (TCPs), terminals, and intelligent devices),
and monitors the status and performance of those and other objects. It also
provides syntax and complete descriptions of all SPI commands specific to
Pathway/iTS, as well as cause, effect, and recovery information for all messages
issued by TCPs.
•
SPI Programming Manual. This manual describes the Subsystem Programmatic
Interface (SPI), which is used for writing applications that manage HP NonStop
subsystems. SPI provides a set of procedure calls and a set of definition files to be
used in management programs.
