Changes in the G06.27 Manual
This is the first edition of the
TS/MP System Management Manual
. This manual
replaces the TS/MP portions of both the NonStop TS/MP and Pathway System
Management Guide and the NonStop TS/MP and Pathway Management Reference
Manual.
The Pathway transaction processing software has been repackaged as two separate
products:
•
TS/MP, consisting of the Pathsend procedure calls, the LINKMON process, the
PATHMON process, and the PATHCOM process and interface.
•
HP NonStop Pathway/iTS, consisting of the terminal control process (TCP), the
SCREEN COBOL compiler and run-time environment, and the SCREEN COBOL
Utility Program (SCUP).
Because of this product split, the NonStop TS/MP and Pathway System Management
Guide and the NonStop TS/MP and Pathway Management Reference Manual and the
NonStop TS/MP and Pathway Management Reference Manual were split and
recombined into these two manuals:
•
TS/MP System Management Manual
•
Pathway/iTS System Management Manual
This rearrangement gathers all task-oriented information, PATHCOM reference
information, and displayed-message reference information for each product into a
single manual that describes that product alone.
This manual is for system managers who are configuring and managing PATHMON
environments. If your environment includes Pathway/iTS, for information about
configuring and managing Pathway/iTS objects within the PATHMON environment,
see the
Pathway/iTS System Management Manual
.

•
A new value, \*, when used in place of a node name, assigns node independence
to an attribute. This value can be used in the CMDVOL command and in
