Tuxedo 6.5.3 README
Solution 10-000606-8473
In Release 1, creating a file named T<IPCKEY>LOG in the GSUBVOL
caused PATHMON to log status messages to the file. With the
change to TS/MP 3.0 in Release 2, this feature was not supported.
Now tmboot and ADMINSVR provide support for a comparable feature
with TS/MP 3.0. If the T<IPCKEY>LOG is present in GSUBVOL and is
an entry-sequenced file with a filecode of 843, a CONTROL TS
command will be issued to instruct the SUPE to log status messages
to the file. Management of the log file is still outside of the
control of NonStop(TM) TUXEDO.
Solution 10-000609-8535
When CMPLIMIT is set to (0,0), tmshutdown reported strange errors:
<time><lmid>tmshutdown.773193790: WARNING: internal error:
CMDTUX_CAT:772: can't get DBBL's table entry
<time><lmid>tmshutdown.773193790: LIBTUX_CAT:665: ERROR:
Invalid server group name - <group name>
<time><lmid>tmshutdown.773193790: FATAL: internal error:
CMDTUX_CAT:910: no DBBL exists
The NonStop(TM) TUXEDO documentation has been changed to make it
clear that positive values are required for CMPLIMIT. Also, a
note was added that Compaq does not recommend using CMPLIMIT
values of less than 2000.
Solution 10-000615-8666
The DBBL restart logic has been enhanced to help ensure the DBBL
is always running. However, if the DBBL should fail to restart,
the user can now restart the DBBL manually using either
"tmboot -M" or "tmboot -y".
Solution 10-000719-9271
Entering an invalid port number for the WSL's -n CLOPT option
could cause the WSL to abend. The WSL now correctly handles this
situation and displays the appropriate userlog messages.
X. Known Problems List
1. Case 10-990518-8285
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM:
With 160 /WS clients started, clients begin to fail in tpinit with
error 4101 on the workstation handler (WSH).
CUSTOMER IMPACT:
This failure occurs only when calls to tpinit() occur in tight,
2-second loops, attempting to start 160 clients. This is an unusual
stress test situation. Compaq recommends that you avoid executing
tpinit() in tight loops.
