1C. If you do find that T8350 or T8351 are installed, then choose
one of these options:
(a) keep using the server software (SR62 or SR63) instead
of the /WS OSS client software (SN49) described in this
README file (in this case, see the README file for SR62);
or
(b) if the /WS OSS client (T8350) was not installed at the same
time as the server software (T8351), then install the /WS
OSS client from this CD (SN49);
or
(c) if you do not need the server software, then remove it
before installing this /WS OSS client software (SN49)
2. If you have existing NonStop TUXEDO /WS OSS client processes on
the NonStop Himalaya, follow Step 2A or 2B depending on the
version. Also, see the "Release Guide" in the NonStop TUXEDO
Documentation set for application upgrade information.
2A. If you use an earlier R6.5 version (July 1999, December 1999,
September 2000 or March 2001), stop all the NonStop TUXEDO /WS
OSS clients on the NonStop Himalaya machine where the /WS OSS
client software will be installed.
2B. If you use either the Release 1 or Release 2 version of NonStop
TUXEDO, you can safely install software from this CD while
existing applications are running. To use the software from
this CD, you will need to rebuild your /WS OSS clients. See
the "Release Guide" in the NonStop TUXEDO Documentation set for
application upgrade information.
3. Ensure that you, the installation user, are not listed in
$SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.FTPUSERS.
Discussion: If you try to install products using IPSetup and
your user ID is listed in $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.FTPUSERS, the
installation fails at the point where IPSetup tries to transfer
(ftp command) the files from the PC to the NonStop Himalaya
system. This failure occurs in a typical situation when you
install the product using the super.super ID and, for common
security reasons, the super.super ID is forbidden ftp access.
4. When you use IPSetup, use a user ID that does not have an
initial OSS directory.
