Tuxedo 8.0 Update 1 README
are compatible with actions performed by Tuxedo's Install.sh
 script.
If TCP/IP and FTP are unavailable, or if you have problems with
automatic file placement, use the instructions in the IPSetup User
Guide section "Manual Software Placement Using the IPSetup TACL
Program" to manually move NonStop Kernel files.
NOTE: If you are using LLE (SR74V1) in conjunction with this CD
(Tuxedo core services), HP recommends that first you use
IPSetup for both distribution CDs. This places all the files
on the HP NonStop server. Then install both the components
at once, rather than installing them sequentially.
IMPORTANT: After you have installed NonStop Tuxedo, if new software is
later installed from a G06.15 or earlier Site Update Tape
(SUT), ensure the T0280 and T7926 components have not been
overwritten with older versions of the software. To do
this, use VPROC and ensure $SYSTEM.SYSnn.ROUT has a
T-number of T0280 and a PVU identifier of AAQ or later, and
ensure DIST, DISTLIB, and SUPE in $SYSTEM.SYSTEM have a
T-number of T7926 and a PVU identifier of AAQ or later.
If the versions are incorrect, run IPSetup using this CD to
copy the files to the ISVs and then perform the steps
relating to ROUT, DIST, DISTLIB, and SUPE. If steps
pertaining to the OSS files are executed, be sure to also
reinstall the associated LLE product CD (SR74V1), if
 appropriate.
The absence of Tuxedo components on SUTs is described in
Support Note S02017, "NSK - NONSTOP TUXEDO AND G06.16
 SUTs".
The dependency on PVUs T0280AAQ and T7926AAQ is described
in Hotstuff HS02773: "NSK OPN T0280D44 AAP TS/MP ROUTER"
6. Follow the post-installation instructions in Section III below,
after using IPSetup to place and install this product.
II. Pre-Installation Instructions
Prepare to run IPSetup by performing the following steps:
1. If you have an existing NonStop Tuxedo application, the steps
required to upgrade your application depend on the level of your
current application. Consider these requirements in your upgrade
 planning:
 (a) For all upgrades from earlier releases of NonStop Tuxedo:
to run your servers or clients with a NonStop Tuxedo 8.0
TUXDIR on the same HP NonStop server, you must rebuild those
 client programs and servers.
 (b) For upgrades from 8.0, you must shut down (stop) the NonStop
 Tuxedo application at least once.
 (c) If the NonStop Tuxedo application is distributed over several
machines, you must first upgrade the NonStop Tuxedo install-
ation on the master machine. Non-master machines can continue
to use NonStop Tuxedo R6.5 and will interoperate within the
application. They can then be upgraded by taking them out of
the application while the remainder of the machines continue
 to run the application.
