Tuxedo 8.0 Update 1 README
III. Post-Installation Instructions
1. Ensure the ROUT object file in the SYSnn is T0280 and AAQ or
newer. If necessary, rename the existing ROUT in the SYSNN and
copy the ROUT file from the CD that was placed in the SYSNN ISV
during the IPSetup operation. For example,
a) > FUP
b) - VOLUME $SYSTEM.SYS<nn>
c) - INFO ROUT
d) - RENAME ROUT, PURGEME.*
e) - DUP $<ISVvol>.SYSNN.ROUT, *, SOURCEDATE
f) - SECURE ROUT, "< file's security from step c >"
g) - EXIT
2. If this install replaced the ROUT executable, then perform a system
cold load before starting a NonStop Tuxedo application on the
system.
3. Invoke the INSTALL^TEMPLATES TACL macro to install the ZTSETMPL and
ZTUXTMPL EMS template files contained on the CD. This TACL macro
and instructions for its use are given in Support Note S92067B
(updated 24AUG94), which you can obtain by using TIM or by contact-
ing your HP representative. Starting with C30.09 and D20.00
releases, the INSTALL^TEMPLATES TACL macro is distributed on the
SUT and can be found in $<ISVvol>.ZINSAIDS.TACLMACS. To print
the usage notes, LOAD the file containing the macro and, at the
TACL prompt, type: INSTALL^TEMPLATES /OUT <outdev>/HELP
4. Ensure the following files in $SYSTEM.SYSTEM are secured for read
and execute permission by the NonStop Tuxedo administrator
user: DIST, DISTLIB, SUPE, and TSMPCOM. Typical security settings
are: "NxNx" or "AxAx".
5. Ensure the NonStop Tuxedo administrator user has read access
to $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.TSCHELP.
6. Ensure all intended users have read and execute permission to file
LTUXT80 and LTUXW80 in $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.
7. License $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.DISTLIB (for example, type the command:
FUP LICENSE $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.DISTLIB).
8. Use the ftp command to transfer the Install.sh shell script file
(in ASCII format) from the CD to an OSS directory.
9. Enter OSS by typing OSH at the TACL prompt.
10. Position (cd command) to the directory where the Install.sh file
was copied during step 8.
11. Turn on execute permission to Install.sh, for example, type the
command: chmod +x Install.sh
12. Execute the Install.sh script and follow the directions. Answer
Install.sh script questions as follows:
a. For the location of the files (which are the NonStop Tuxedo PAX
files that IPSetup placed in the ZOSSUTL ISV), type an OSS
pathname. For example: /G/system/zossutl
file:///C|/Release 8.0 Update 1/ReadmeNSTux80u1.txt
