1C. If you do find that T8350 or T8351 are installed, then choose one
of these options:
(a) keep using the server software (SR71V1 or SR72V1) instead
of the /WS OSS client software (SR73V1) described in this
README file.
or
(b) if the /WS OSS client (T8350) was not installed at the same
time as the server software (T8351), then install the /WS
OSS client from this CD (SR73V1);
or
(c) if you do not need the server software, then remove it
before installing this /WS OSS client software (SR73V1).
2. If you have existing NonStop Tuxedo /WS OSS client processes on
the HP NonStop server, follow Step 2A or 2B depending on the
version. Also, see the "Release Guide" in the NonStop Tuxedo
Documentation set for application upgrade information.
2A. If you use an R8.0 version, stop all the NonStop Tuxedo /WS OSS
clients on the HP NonStop server where the /WS OSS client software
will be installed.
2B. If you use an earlier version of NonStop Tuxedo (R1, R2 or R6.5)
you can safely install software from this CD while existing
applications are running. To use the software from this CD, you
will need to rebuild your /WS OSS clients. See the "Release
Guide" in the NonStop Tuxedo Documentation set for application
upgrade information.
3. Ensure that you, the installation user, are not listed in
$SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.FTPUSERS.
Discussion: If you try to install products using IPSetup and your
user ID is listed in $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.FTPUSERS, the installation
fails at the point where IPSetup tries to transfer (with ftp) files
from the PC to the HP NonStop server. This failure typically
occurs when you install the product using the super.super ID and,
for security reasons, the super.super ID is forbidden ftp access.
4. If IPSetup fails with error 550 indicating it was unable to do a
"chdir" to the subvolume specified, ensure that you use a user ID
that does not have an OSS initial directory.
Discussion: IPSetup assumes ftp is using the Guardian API. If the
