VHS Architecture

VHS Architecture
Figure 1-1 shows a simplified picture of the VHS architecture. It depicts the NonStop
portion only, without the Pathway environment.
VHS and Management Applications
VHS works with management applications, such as ViewPoint and NonStop
NET/MASTER, or it can be run directly from the HP Tandem Advanced Command
Language (TACL) prompt. You can have all the messages from VHS included in EMS
events and sent to the EMS collector.
VHS Subsystem
The VHS subsystem has two key files, the prompt file and the primary log file. VHS
stores application prompt messages in its prompt file and stores all messages it
