o Swapping out a SCSI card for a Fibre Channel card in the same slot and reconfiguring
an existing SCSI virtual tape connection to a Fibre Channel virtual tape connection.
Steps 5A to 5G address this reconfiguration.
o Reconfiguring an existing Fibre Channel card as Target and moving an existing virtual
tape connection to that Target. Steps 5H to 5Q address this reconfiguration.
Note: Select one of the two choices above and follow the indicated Step 5 instructions.
Once the Fibre Channel ports have been successfully configured as Target Mode in Step 4,
reconfigure the virtual tape connections. Virtual tape connections originally set up as SCSI
need to be edited for usage on a Fibre Channel bus using the VTS GUI:
A. Select Manage Connections > Delete a Tape Connection.
B. Select the virtual tape connection you want to modify. Click Delete Tape
Connection and return to Manage Tape Connections.
C. Select Edit An Existing Virtual Tape. Select the Virtual Tape to edit and Click Edit.
