i. Provide the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. In this example, the
newyork-idr VTS server is configured with IP address 10.10.2.145, subnet mask
255.255.255.0, and default gateway 10.10.2.1.
Note eth1 must have a different IP subnet address then eth0.
j. Click OK.
k. Select eth1.
l. Select Deactivate and then select Activate for the changes to take effect.
3. Set up the hosts file to configure aliases for each IP address of the VTS servers.
a. Click the Hosts tab.
b. Click New.
c. Provide the IP address, hostname, and alias for the local VTS server. In this example,
the following values are entered:
• IP Address: 10.10.2.145
• Hostname: newyork-idr.tapelabs.com
