Enabling Instant DR and AutoCopy | 81
The following steps use two sites as an example of enabling Instant DR or AutoCopy between
two sites, New York and Los Angeles, connected by a wide area network (WAN):
To configure network settings
1. Open a shell on the VTS system.
2. Set up the network interface on each VTS server on which you wish to enable Instant DR.
a. Log in as root.
b. Enter the root password. See Credentials on page 151 for a list of the default accounts
provided on the server.
c. At the [root@site default]# prompt, enter Startx. This starts the VTS operating
system UI.
d. From the operating system UI, click the Linux Start button at the bottom left-hand
side of the window.
e. Select System Settings→Network from pop-up list. The Network Configuration
window is displayed:
f. Double-click eth1.
g. Select Activate device when computer starts.
h. Select Statically set IP Addresses.
