Virtual TapeServer 6.03.42 Operations and Administration Guide
92 | Using Scan/Cleanup
cleanup_minimum_size_
GB
and
cleanup_minimum_size_
MB
Define which files to ignore based on size.
The values specified by these parameters
are combined to set the minimum file size to
erase. Some installations have many small
virtual tapes and do not require that they be
erased. A typical setting for the
cleanup_minimum_size_GB parameter is
8, which specifies not to erase virtual tapes
whose data is less than 8GB. For smaller
sizes, use the cleanup_minimum_size_MB
parameter only. For example, to set the
limit to 50MB, use
cleanup_minimum_size_MB='50'. If you
specify 0 for these parameters, this feature
is disabled and all files can be erased.
Default value: 0 (for both parameters)
Integer
cleanup_show_NO Controls whether VTS should display the
NO rows on the Scan/Cleanup page. Many
of the virtual tapes will not be scheduled for
erasure. To make the display smaller and
simpler, the NO rows are suppressed. When
this parameter is set to NO, a small button
is shown that permits the user to
temporarily override this parameter and
show the NO rows.
Default value: NO
YES or NO
cleanup_show_erase_

particular installation of VTS. However,
this information may easily be viewed by
enabling this feature.
