Backing Up the VTS Server
It is recommended that you back up the VTS server after any major operation, such as an
upgrade. The following steps describe how to create a system restore image, which saves the
following:
•All databases
• root and bill home directories
• Some contents of the /etc and /usr/local/tape/etc directories
To create a system restore image
1. Make sure VTS is not in use and that no virtual tapes are mounted.
2. Back up the VTS server, as follows:
