Virtual TapeServer 6.04.02 for NonStop Servers Release Notes

Known Issues | 13
Web interface
VTD names and serial numbers should not be case-sensitive. When creating VTDs,
the web interface checks the case of the specified VTD name and serial number. However,
VTD names and serial numbers are not case-sensitive on the host server. For example,
you can create VTAPE01 and vtape01 on the VTS server, but the host server only sees
VTAPE01. (TL-3212)
WORKAROUND: Do not specify VTD names or serial numbers that have the same
combination of letters, no matter the case.
Cannot download the System Message logs by clicking the Download link. If you
select Supervisor Functions ->Examine System Logs and then click the Download link,
the logs are not downloaded. (TL-3213)
WORKAROUND: Click the ZIP or TAR button to download the logs files in a compressed
file instead.
Errors logged to Apache error_log file when Apply or Revert VTS Revision
Update or Access Control page is accessed. If you access the Apply VTS Revision
Update, Revert VTS Revision Update page, or Access Control page, an error is logged in
Apache’s error_log file stating that a file is missing. You may also see the message in the
logwatch summary. The standard.css and standard.js files are incorrectly referenced by
the web interface in the html/admin directory. The error can be ignored. (TL-3194)
List of cartridges is incorrect if duplicates exist on the system. After an import,
the list of cartridges displayed on the user interface may not match the list of cartridges
on the file system. This occurs if there are duplicate pools or cartridges. (TL-3170)
Message on Manage System Licenses page implies that key was saved when it
was not. On the Manage System Licenses page, if you select the Update checkbox, paste
a license key in the License Key field, and then deselect the Update checkbox, a message
is displayed indicating that the license key is already present. The message is displayed
even though the key has not been saved. (TL-3175)
WORKAROUND: Navigate away from and back to the page.
Username and password remain displayed in fields on Manage Passwords page
after switching services. When switching between services on the Manage Passwords
page, the last values that were entered are still displayed in the user and password fields.
(TL-3157)
Incorrect message displayed when VTS revision update fails. The web interface
states “Return to Administrative Functions” instead of “Return to Supervisor Functions”
when a VTS revision update fails. (TL-3146)
Virtual Media page loads slowly if expanded pool contains many cartridges. If
you view or refresh the Virtual Media page and a pool that contains many cartridges is
expanded, the web interface is very slow to display the page. If there is cartridge activity
(backup, export, copy, and so on), the page may take up to four minutes to load. (TL-3011,
TL-3012)
Performance of Virtual Media page in GFS cluster degrades as number of
servers grows. The Virtual Media page in a GFS cluster loads slowly and performance
degrades as the cluster size grows. The time to load the page can take up to 20 minutes or
longer in such cases, with only one node loading the page. (TL-3041, EAR 4912)
