Virtual TapeServer 6.04.02 for NonStop Servers Release Notes
Known Issues | 14
Backup of database fails if scheduling a backup. If you click Backup the database
(Advanced) on the Administrator Utilities page and then click the Schedule button (after
clicking Proceed), the backup will fail. (TL-240, EAR 4663)
WORKAROUND: Back up the entire database and do not use the Advanced option.
Retention time is not displayed correctly on Scan/Cleanup page. Retention is
shown in weeks until retention time exceeds a year, then it is shown in years. Time is
stored as a number of seconds but incorrectly converted for display. (TL-2629)
Too many values displayed when an error occurs with a LUN during VTD
creation. When creating a VTD and an error occurs with an existing LUN, the array of
possible values that is displayed can be very large. Instead, the first five possible values
should be presented. (TL-3117)
Two virtual devices can be created though different BTLIs are shown. When the
BTLI value is changed on the Manage System Limits page, it is possible to create two
virtual devices that represent the same device, though the web interface shows different
BTLIs. (TL-3100)
No message is displayed when system restore image is created. If you create a
system restore image, the web interface should display a message before creating the
image. Currently, the web interface does not indicate that it is creating the image and the
page may be blank for several minutes. (TL-3105)
Backup to All button is removed after clicking Add One link. When adding key
database backup and restore hosts, selecting the Add One link and then selecting the link
again without adding data or pressing Cancel brings back the Restore from Disaster
Recovery site button and the Add New Host button. However, the Backup to All button is
missing. It is not until the user selects Add one again and then selects Cancel that the
Backup to All button is restored. (TL-3083)
WORKAROUND: Click Add One and then click Cancel and the button appears again.
Ultrium 1 physical tape drive not displayed in web interface. When attempting to
write to an Ultrium 1 physical tape drive, the drive is not displayed in the Physical Tapes
section of the VTS web interface. The debug log shows an error executing update
inquiry_data. (TL-3136)
PHP error messages found in Apache error_log. Error messages may be listed in /
var/log/httpd/error_log when a VTD is created or modified. The messages can be ignored.
(TL-3126)
Web interface shows incorrect size of a cartridge that was created by the host
server and then erased by VTS. With an empty cartridge, the label and trailer size are
combined. When the cartridge is erased, the label remains, but the trailer is removed. If
there is data on the cartridge, the label size is accurate before and after the erase. (TL-
3020)
Read-only cartridge mounted as read-write. When mounting a read-only cartridge,
the web interface displays it as read-write. This is a display issue only. (TL-2540, EAR
4726)
Cartridges not owned by bill are not erased as indicated in the interface and log
file. However, the debug.log correctly indicates that the file failed to erase. (TL-2061)
System ID is displayed as rc=3 on Apply VTS Software Change page. This can be
ignored. (TL-2287)
