Virtual TapeServer 6.04.02.01 for NonStop Servers Release Notes
Known Issues | 12
Clicking the browser Back button after creating a system restore image causes
download to start again. After clicking Supervisor Functions -> Create VTS System
Restore Image, a file download dialog box is displayed. After the file is downloaded or
canceled, you are presented with a web page indicating what has happened, but no return
link is displayed. Clicking the browser back button causes VTS to begin creating the
system restore image again. (TL-2179)
WORKAROUND: Use another navigation link on the interface, not the browser’s back
button.
@secure and other non-cartridge files are displayed in the interface. When a new
pool is created and the 'Encrypted' option is selected, '@secure' is listed as one of the
cartridges as well as other non-cartridge files. This is not a cartridge and cannot perform
any cartridge actions such as delete and erase on it. (TL-2341)
Pop-up windows display stale, cached data. When pop-up windows are displayed,
some browsers may display stale, cached data rather than the current information. (TL-
2342)
WORKAROUND: To ensure that the information is accurate, use your browser's refresh
or reload function to update the information.
Long pool names cause cartridge creation to fail but report success. If you try to
create cartridges in a pool with a path name of 255 characters or greater, the cartridge
creation reports success but it fails. (TL-1869)
WORKAROUND: Create pools with path names less than 255 characters.
Firefox shows negative values on the System Status page. If you are using the
Firefox browser to view the VTS web interface, negative values may be displayed in the
kb/sec column in the Connections table on the System Status page. (TL-347)
Firefox improperly renders Cartridge Maintenance page when Multiple Select
checkbox is unchecked. If you use Firefox to view the interface and you deselect the
Multiple Select option on the Cartridge Maintenance page, the browser renders the page
incorrectly, displaying items in the wrong place and not preserving information. (TL-346)
WORKAROUND: Click the Clear Form button to correct the display problem.
User and group changes can be applied but not saved as part of the Custom
Defaults. On the Access Control page, you can save user and group settings by clicking
the Save as CUSTOM button but subsequent changes to the custom defaults cannot be
saved. (TL-377)
Must click Restore CUSTOM Defaults button twice to display the “Users and
Groups” and “Rights” sections of the page. When you click the Restore CUSTOM
Defaults button, the “Users and Groups” and “Rights” sections of the Access Control page
are not displayed. You must click the button again to display these sections and restore
the custom defaults. (TL-378)
If too much data is transferred in a refresh period, the transfer rate and
compression ratio displayed on the System Status page may be inaccurate. If
more than 2GB of data is written during a refresh period of the System Status page, the
transfer rate and compression ratio may be invalid. (TL-880)
