Virtual TapeServer 6.04.03.01 for NonStop Servers Release Notes

Known Issues | 14
Tape can be mounted in deleted VTD and the tape remains locked. If you delete a
VTD, VTS still allows you to mount a virtual tape in the deleted VTD. No data is lost but
the tape is locked. This occurs if multiple windows are used and actions are performed in
one window and affect the actions taken in the other. (TL-3156)
WORKAROUND: Remove the lock using the Mounts and Locks page.
Date and time shown for locked cartridges is incorrect. The timestamp used for the
date and time when a cartridge is locked is incorrect. (TL-2551)
Virtual tape appears to be created in a locked pool but is not. If you attempt to
create a virtual tape in a pool that is locked, the operation fails even though the
“Successfully created” message is displayed. (TL-1903, EAR 4286)
Expanding a pool with a large number of cartridges takes a long time. Trying to
expand a pool with a large number of cartridges, such as 10,000, takes 4-5 minutes. (TL-
515)
Using the Import/Export interface results in an error in encr_key.log. Invoking
an import or native export results in the “Error: missing device specification!” error in
encr_key.log. This appears when a pool, a single encrypted tape, or single non-encrypted
tape is selected. The message is benign and can safely be ignored. (TL-1035)
Cached credentials used to log in after user logs out. When you log out, the log in
page is displayed. When you log in again, the web interface uses credentials in cache
instead of forcing you to enter proper credentials. (TL-4218)
Incorrect link shown after Set Refresh Rate for System Status is performed.
When you select Set Refresh Rate for System Status from the Supervisor Functions page
and make a change, the System Status page is displayed but the link indicator arrows are
still pointing to the Supervisor Functions page. (TL-4311)
Information not updated on the View Sg-Map Information page. The sg_map
information is not updated to reflect changes. (TL-4163, EAR 6219)
Patches Installed table displayed after downgrading. After downgrading from
6.04.03 to 6.04.02, the System Status page still shows the upgrade path in the Patches
Installed section. This should not be displayed. (TL-4025)
Cannot configure Ethernet port speed and duplex settings. The web interface does
not provide a way to configure Ethernet port settings, to possibly force speed and duplex.
(TL-4044)
Web interface does not clearly indicate location of system restore image. The
web interface does not indicate that the restore image file is saved on the local file system.
It also does not warn the user that the Save File dialog might be blocked. (TL-4011)
WORKAROUND: Ensure browser pop-ups are enabled.
Cartridge size check done on Cartridge Maintenance page instead of Pool
Maintenance page. Though you specify a maximum cartridge size on the Pool
Maintenance page, the system does not check for the size; it checks on the Cartridge
Maintenance page. (TL-3772)
Cannot click button to confirm deletion of cartridges if deleting many. When
deleting many cartridges, the confirmation dialog box extends off the screen and does not
show the OK button. (TL-3562)
WORKAROUND: Press Enter when the dialog is displayed to confirm the deletion.
