Virtual TapeServer 6.04.03.01 for NonStop Servers Release Notes
Known Issues | 16
Performance of Virtual Media page in GFS cluster degrades as number of
servers grows. The Virtual Media page in a GFS cluster loads slowly and performance
degrades as the cluster size grows. The time to load the page can take up to 20 minutes or
longer in such cases, with only one node loading the page. (TL-3041, EAR 4912)
Backup of database fails if scheduling a backup. If you click Backup the database
(Advanced) on the Administrator Utilities page and then click the Schedule button (after
clicking Proceed), the backup will fail. (TL-240, EAR 4663)
WORKAROUND: Back up the entire database using a system restore image and do not
use the Advanced option.
Too many values displayed when an error occurs with a LUN during VTD
creation. When creating a VTD and an error occurs with an existing LUN, the array of
possible values that is displayed can be very large. Instead, the first five possible values
should be presented. (TL-3117)
No message is displayed when system restore image is created. If you create a
system restore image, the web interface should display a message before creating the
image. Currently, the web interface does not indicate that it is creating the image and the
page may be blank for several minutes. (TL-3105)
Ultrium 1 physical tape drive not displayed in web interface. When attempting to
write to an Ultrium 1 physical tape drive, the drive is not displayed in the Physical Tapes
section of the VTS web interface. The debug log shows an error executing update
inquiry_data. (TL-3136)
Web interface shows incorrect size of a cartridge that was created by the host
server and then erased. With an empty cartridge, the label and trailer size are
combined. When the cartridge is erased, the label remains, but the trailer is removed. If
there is data on the cartridge, the label size is accurate before and after the erase. (TL-
3020)
Cartridges not owned by bill are not erased as indicated in the interface and log
file. However, the debug.log correctly indicates that the file failed to erase. (TL-2061)
System ID is displayed as rc=3 on Apply Software Change page. This can be
ignored. (TL-2287)
Cartridge Status pop-up dialog is not updated while a cartridge is mounted. If
you display the Cartridge pop-up dialog by clicking a link in the size (MB) column of the
Virtual Media - Operation page and then the cartridge is mounted, the data is not
updated on the pop-up. (TL-2350)
WORKAROUND: View this information when the cartridge is not mounted.
Cartridge sizes are not displayed properly. Cartridges created with 1TB, 1GB, or
1MB limits will display, respectively, as 1024GB, 1024MB, and 1024K. However, 2TB
cartridges display as 2TB, 2GB carts display as 2GB, and 2MB cartridges display as 2MB.
(TL-2365)
After logging in as admin for SecureVTS functions in an open system, changing
access controls to default closed results in excessive numbers of dialogs.
SecureVTS requires login for certain functions in the UI. If you start with an open system
and then close it by setting 'default closed' in 'Access Control', you are continually
prompted for your username and password as you navigate around. Once you enter
credentials on a password section, you are allowed to go back to that section. (TL-970)
WORKAROUND: Restore the defaults for closed access control, close the browser, and
relaunch the browser.
