Long pool names cause cartridge creation to fail but report success. If you try to
create cartridges in a pool with a path name of 255 characters or greater, the cartridge
creation reports success but it fails. (TL-1869)
WORKAROUND: Create pools with path names less than 255 characters.
Firefox shows negative values on the System Status page. If you are using the
Firefox browser to view the VTS web interface, negative values may be displayed in the
kb/sec column in the Connections table on the System Status page. (TL-347)
Firefox improperly renders Cartridge Maintenance page when Multiple Select
checkbox is unchecked. If you use Firefox to view the interface and you deselect the
Multiple Select option on the Cartridge Maintenance page, the browser renders the page
incorrectly, displaying items in the wrong place and not preserving information. (TL-346)
WORKAROUND: Click the Clear Form button to correct the display problem.
If too much data is transferred in a refresh period, the transfer rate and
compression ratio displayed on the System Status page may be inaccurate. If
more than 2GB of data is written during a refresh period of the System Status page, the
transfer rate and compression ratio may be invalid. (TL-880)
The selected menu item does not correspond to the displayed page when the
browser Back or Forward buttons are used to navigate the web interface. If you
use the Back or Forward button provided by the browser to navigate to pages on the web
interface, the previously viewed menu item is displayed on the main page but the
highlighted menu item does not go back or forward to the corresponding menu item. (TL-
570)
Cannot cancel a manual mount request using the Cancel button. If you press the
Mount button to mount a cartridge then press the Cancel button instead of the OK button,
the cartridge is mounted on the VTD. The operation is not cancelled. (TL-543)
Manage Connections
Manage Connections page does not select available values when creating VTDs.
If you attempt to create a VTD after other VTDs have been created, the Manage
Connections page does not automatically select available values for the LUN and target.
If you do not change the values, the creation will fail. (TL-3491)
WORKAROUND: Modify the LUNs to unused LUNs, modify the target, and then save.
Then, change the LUNs back to the original LUNs.
Access Control
Cannot add backup host if password contains special characters. If a user
account’s password includes special characters and you attempt to add a backup host, the
following message is displayed: “Backup host 192.168.##.## not added because
configuration data was not available in the database”. (TL-4431, EAR 6406)
WORKAROUND: Change the password to exclude special characters.
