Virtual TapeServer 6.04.04.01 for NonStop Servers Release Notes

Known Issues | 17
Web interface shows incorrect size of a cartridge that was created by the host
server and then erased. With an empty cartridge, the label and trailer size are
combined. When the cartridge is erased, the label remains, but the trailer is removed. If
there is data on the cartridge, the label size is accurate before and after the erase.
(TL-3020)
Cartridges not owned by bill are not erased as indicated in the interface and log
file. However, the debug.log correctly indicates that the file failed to erase. (TL-2061)
System ID is displayed as rc=3 on Apply Software Change page. This can be
ignored. (TL-2287)
Cartridge Status pop-up dialog is not updated while a cartridge is mounted. If
you display the Cartridge pop-up dialog by clicking a link in the size (MB) column of the
Virtual Media - Operation page and then the cartridge is mounted, the data is not
updated on the pop-up. (TL-2350)
WORKAROUND: View this information when the cartridge is not mounted.
Cartridge sizes are not displayed properly. Cartridges created with 1TB, 1GB, or
1MB limits will display, respectively, as 1024GB, 1024MB, and 1024K. However, 2TB
cartridges display as 2TB, 2GB carts display as 2GB, and 2MB cartridges display as 2MB.
(TL-2365)
After logging in as admin for SecureVTS functions in an open system, changing
access controls to default closed results in excessive numbers of dialogs.
SecureVTS requires login for certain functions in the UI. If you start with an open system
and then close it by setting 'default closed' in 'Access Control', you are continually
prompted for your username and password as you navigate around. Once you enter
credentials on a password section, you are allowed to go back to that section. (TL-970)
WORKAROUND: Restore the defaults for closed access control, close the browser, and
relaunch the browser.
Clicking the browser Back button after creating a system restore image causes
download to start again. After clicking Supervisor Functions -> Create System Restore
Image, a file download dialog box is displayed. After the file is downloaded or canceled,
you are presented with a web page indicating what has happened, but no return link is
displayed. Clicking the browser back button causes VTS to begin creating the system
restore image again. (TL-2179)
WORKAROUND: Use the Return link on the interface, not the browser’s back button.
Pop-up windows display stale, cached data. When pop-up windows are displayed,
some browsers may display stale, cached data rather than the current information.
(TL-2342)
WORKAROUND: To ensure that the information is accurate, use your browser's refresh
or reload function to update the information.
Long pool names cause cartridge creation to fail but report success. If you try to
create cartridges in a pool with a path name of 255 characters or greater, the cartridge
creation reports success but it fails. (TL-1869)
WORKAROUND: Create pools with path names less than 255 characters.
Firefox shows negative values on the System Status page. If you are using the
Firefox browser to view the VTS web interface, negative values may be displayed in the
kb/sec column in the Connections table on the System Status page. (TL-347)
