Backup management application support
Host connections are supported with the following backup applications:
 From Windows Server 2003 hosts:
• IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 5.5
• Symantec Veritas NetBackup 6.5 and 7
• Symantec Backup Exec 3.1
• EMC RSA Legato Networker 7.5.2
• CommVault Galaxy 7.0 and 2008
• CA ARCserve Backup r15.0
 From Windows Server 2008 hosts:
• Symantec Veritas NetBackup 6.5, 6.5.4, and 7.0
• Symantec Backup Exec 2010
• EMC RSA Legato Networker 7.4 and 7.6
• CommVault Galaxy 7.0 and Simpana 8.0
 From IBM AIX hosts:
• IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 5.5, 6.1, and 6.2
 From IBM iSeries (AS/400) hosts:
• IBM Backup Recovery & Media Services (BRMS) V6R1 and V5R4
• Help/Systems Robot/SAVE 11.0
 From RedHat hosts:
• Symantec Veritas NetBackup 6.5, 6.5.4, and 7.0
The following IBM Tivoli Storage Manager versions were tested and are supported for
installation and use on the VTS server:
 TSM 5.5 (tested on AIX 5.3)
 TSM 6.1 (tested on AIX 6.1)
The following backup applications were tested and are supported for installation and use on
the VTS server:
 Symantec Veritas NetBackup 6.5, 6.5.4, and 7
 IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 5.5 and 6.2
 EMC RSA Legato Networker 7.4.3 and 7.6
 CommVault Galaxy 7.0 and 8.0
Browser support
The following browsers are supported for use viewing the VTS web interface:
 Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and above
 Mozilla Firefox 2 and 3
