7. A dialog box is displayed indicating you are about to revert VTS to the previously
installed version. Click OK to continue.
8. Reboot VTS.
9. Restart the web browser, launch the web interface, and then navigate to the System

Upgrade and downgrade issues
Upgrading to 8.0 may fail due to the upgrade attempting to back up files
removed by a previous upgrade. If you upgrade from 6.04.03 or older, files needed by
the system are missing. (TL-6962)
WORKAROUND: If upgrading to 8.0 and you have previously upgraded through 6.04.03
or 6.04.04, log in to the system as root and enter these commands:
chkconfig --add vts_xmlrpc_server
chkconfig vts_xmlrpc_server on
Host reservation conflict on AS/400 causes upgrade to fail. When you attempt to
remove the reservation from AS/400, the tape will not vary off because TapeServer has
shutdown. If you then start TapeServer and then vary off the tape, a kernel panic occurs.
(TL-6810)
WORKAROUND: Ensure TapeServer is running prior to any attempt to vary off the
AS/400 tape device.
Upgrade and downgrade do not test for VTL activity before proceeding. Upgrade
and downgrade blindly stop library emulations by unmounting the virtual magazines.
VTS should determine if the VTL is being used. (TL-5200)
