 Cartridge Status pop-up dialog is not updated while a cartridge is mounted. If
you display the Cartridge pop-up dialog by clicking a link in the size (MB) column of the
Configure Tapes and Pools page and then the cartridge is mounted, the data is not
updated on the pop-up. (TL-2350)
WORKAROUND: View this information when the cartridge is not mounted.
 Cartridge sizes are not displayed properly. Cartridges created with 1TB, 1GB, or
1MB limits will display, respectively, as 1024GB, 1024MB, and 1024K. However, 2TB
cartridges display as 2TB, 2GB carts display as 2GB, and 2MB cartridges display as 2MB.

 Performance slows and the web interface becomes unresponsive if you close the
browser during a pool move. After the pool is moved, the web interface becomes
responsive again. The popup dialog box should indicate not to close the window or tab
while the pool move is in progress. (TL-4956)
 Virtual tapes cannot be renamed. You cannot rename a virtual tape. (TL-4414, EAR
6411)
WORKAROUND: Create new virtual tapes with the desired name using the Advanced
Media Actions option on the Manage Virtual Tapes page.
 Cannot cancel pending mounts. The web interface indicates “Cancelled 0 pending
mounts” but pending mounts are re-queued and given new reqnums every six seconds.
The clearmount process attempts to match the reqnum of the pending mount. If they
match, the pending mount is cancelled. If they do not match, the pending mount is not
cancelled, as indicated by this message in the interface and log: “Error: clearmount found
no match in mount queue for reqnum 000000663”. (TL-3304)
WORKAROUND: Cancel the pending mount within six seconds of the page or refresh the
web interface and then cancel.
 Web interface does not load the Virtual Tapes page when requested. When data-
intensive tasks are occurring in the background, accessing the Virtual Tapes page can
cause request timeouts. (TL-6749)
WORKAROUND: Wait for the operations to complete and try again.
 File size limit of 2TB can be overridden through the Pool Management page in
the UI. If you set the virtual tape limit above 2TB, VTS will not get an EOM before the
file system reaches the file limit and fails the I/O to VTS. (TL-2171)
WORKAROUND: Set the limit to 2TB, which is the maximum setting.
 Long pool names cause cartridge creation to fail but report success. If you try to
create cartridges in a pool with a path name of 255 characters or greater, the cartridge
creation reports success but it fails. (TL-1869)
WORKAROUND: Create pools with path names less than 255 characters.
 Firefox improperly renders Cartridge Maintenance page when Multiple Select
checkbox is unchecked. If you use Firefox to view the interface and you deselect the
Multiple Select option on the Cartridge Maintenance page, the browser renders the page
incorrectly, displaying items in the wrong place and not preserving information. (TL-346)
WORKAROUND: Click the Clear Form button to correct the display problem.
 Cannot cancel a manual mount request using the Cancel button. If you press the
Mount button to mount a cartridge then press the Cancel button instead of the OK button,
the cartridge is mounted on the VTD. The operation is not cancelled. (TL-543)
