Configuring AutoCopy
Note A default configuration file is defined for each VTS server. To override the default
settings, you must define settings as described below.
Requires the Edit Configuration File access right
To modify the VTS configuration file to configure AutoCopy
1. Enable Data Replication licensing by entering the key on the Manage System Licenses
page (click Configuration
→System on the navigation pane and then click Manage
System Licenses).
2. Click Configuration→System on the navigation pane.
3. Click Edit Configuration File.
4. Add the following parameters at the bottom of the file that is displayed:
Parameter Description Values
autocopy_enable Enables AutoCopy. This parameter is
required.
Default value: NO
YES or NO
autocopy_pools Specifies the pools to monitor for activity;
virtual tapes in these pools are copied
after activity is detected. This parameter
is required.
