Creating and Managing Virtual Media | 83
To erase or delete a virtual tape from the Configure Tapes and Pools page
1. Unmount the virtual tape first, if it is mounted.
2. Click Configuration→Tapes and Pools on the navigation pane. The Configure Tapes
and Pools page is displayed.
3. Select a virtual tape in the cartridge column. You may need to expand a pool to see the
list of virtual tapes.
4. Click Erase to erase the contents or click Delete to delete the entire tape.
Note If the Erase or Delete button is not displayed, see You can set a number of
parameters in the VTS configuration file to specify the following: on page 115 for
information about displaying these buttons.
5. When prompted, click OK to confirm the operation.
