Configuring Web Interface Preferences
This chapter describes how to configure web interface preferences by setting parameters in the
configuration file and how to set the refresh rate of the System Status page.
You can set a number of parameters in the VTS configuration file to specify the following:
l Whether and how often to display status messages at the top of the page.
l Whether and when to display a notification regarding low vault space.
l Whether to display the free space by vault on the System Status page.
l Whether to display buttons on the System Status page.
l Whether to display the buttons and features on the Configure Tapes and Pools page, which can
be displayed by clicking Advanced Media Actions at the top of the Manage Virtual Tapes page.
You must modify the VTS configuration file to configure these features.
To configure web interface preferences
Requires the Edit Configuration File access right
Note A default configuration file is defined for each VTS server. To override the default settings, you
must define settings as described below.
1. Click Configuration > System on the navigation pane.
2. Click Edit Configuration File.
3. Add the following parameters at the bottom of the file that is displayed:

opwin_Mount Displays the Mount button on the Virtual
Media - Operation page.
Default value: YES
YES or NO
opwin_Unmount Displays the Unmount button on the Virtual YES or NO
