Configure network settings
1. If configuring the VTS server using a serial or Ethernet connection, you must access the server
using a terminal emulation application, such as PuTTY or HyperTerminal.
a. Launch the terminal emulation application.
b. For a serial connection, specify the COM port on the VTS server. Then, set the serial
properties of the port as follows:
Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
If using PuTTY, set the Character set translation on received data option to UTF-8 (in
the Window > Translation category).
