9. Select From Local File if you copied the .UPG file to the /tmp directory on the system or
to an attached vault. Then, type the path in the Location of Revision Update File
field.
Or, select From Uplo
aded File and then click Browse to navigate to the file on the
network or type in the full path of the location.
10. Click UPGRADE.
11. Click OK to co
ntinue.
Note Upgrading may take a while. Do not navigate away from the page until the
upgrade completes.
12. Confirm that the following message is displayed:
Completing Upgrade...
Revision Update Successful!
System must now be rebooted.
13. Click REBOO
T to complete the update.
14. Restart the web browser and
launch the web interface.
15. Navigate to the System Status page to verify that the version was installed.
16. If you are not using the failover provided by the QLogic driver, such as if you are using HP
Mu
ltiPath or another failover mechanism, you must disable failover in the QLogic driver
that is installed in the appliance. To do so, complete these steps:
a. At the command prompt, log in as bill.
b. Become root:
su -
c. Add the following lines to the /etc/m
odprobe.conf file:
options qla2xxx ql2xfailover=0
d. Remake the initial Ramdisk and reboot.
usr/local/tape/bin/mkinitrd.pl -f
After the upgrade completes, the virtual tape cache is generat
ed and may take a considerable
amount of time to complete.
