Virtual TapeServer 8.4 Release Notes

Known Issues | 48
cp: cannot stat `/usr/local/tape/patch': No such file or directory
ls: /vault: No such file or directory
WORKAROUND: Use th
e button on the web interface to obtain the logs.
Message logged to console and /var/log/messages until iLO is configured. Until
HP-iLO is configured, the following message may continue to print:
INIT: Id “s1” respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
The message is also logged to /var/log/messages wi
th no other information. (TL-2279)
System restore
Misleading messages are generated when applying or creating a system restore
image on a system with no available disk space. The message: “Not Found The
requested URL /tmp/dbdownload//vts24_011013154654.restoreimage.tgz was not found
on this server.” is generated when attempting to create a system restore image. When
attempting to restore a valid system restore image, the message: “Version in system
restore image does not match this system” is generated. (TL-8571)
Web interface does not clearly indicate location of system restore image. The
web interface does not indicate that the restore image file is saved on the local file system.
It also does not warn the user that the Save File dialog might be blocked. (TL-4011)
WORKAROUND: En
sure browser pop-ups are enabled.
No indication of system restore failure in log files. If a system restore fails, the
systemrestore.log and other logs do not log information about the failure. The only
indicator is displayed on the web interface, which says “An unexpected error has occurred,
please contact support.” (TL-4313)
Incomplete image created when creating a system restore image with
insufficient disk space. If there is not enough space to create a system restore image,
the user should be notified that there is not enough space. Instead, “URL not found”
message is displayed and files are omitted from the TAR file. (TL-4176)
