Figure 6-17. Overrides Settings screen
To finalize any changes for the override settings, select the Submit button beneath the
override menu options.
– World Wide Node Name High is normally not changed.
– World Wide Node Name Low is normally not changed.
– Initiator Bit (PRLI ACCEPT Payload) toggles between SET and CLEAR. This should
be configured to SET on both VT5900-SAs when using the VT5900-SA in a router-to-
router configuration (a configuration where at least one VT5900-SA appears as a target to
at least one other VT5900-SA that appears as an initiator). The default setting is CLEAR.
– FC Confirm Bit (PRLI ACCEPT Payload) toggles between ENABLED and DIS-
ABLED. The default setting is ENABLED. This option should be toggled to DISABLED
when the server uses QLogic HBAs.
– Hi-Sup Bit toggles between SET and CLEAR. The default setting is CLEAR. This option
should be toggled to SET when the server uses the Hi-Sup bit to scan for FC LUNs greater
than eight.
Note: Normally, override settings should not be changed except when directed to do so by
an authorized HP technician.
Caution: Changing the WWN Name can result in duplicate names on a single Storage Area
Network (SAN). Using the default values for World Wide Names is recommended.
Note: For Controller LUN commands to operate, WWN naming schemes MUST be
compliant with IEEE Fibre Channel Format 1, where the left-most hexadecimal character
(the NAA field) of the WWN is '1'. Also, the upper nibble of the third byte (sixth
hexadecimal value from right) must be '0' or'1'.
Note: Resetting to factory defaults overwrites current values for WWN Name.
