Displaying Information About the WAN Manager Process
The WAN manager process is defined by the NonStop Kernel subsystem as a
PROCESS object named $ZZKRN.#ZZWAN. You can display information about the
WAN manager process using these NonStop Kernel subsystem SCF commands:
•
The SCF INFO PROCESS $ZZKRN.#ZZWAN command displays static
configuration attribute values. (This command displays more detailed information
than the WAN subsystem SCF INFO SUBSYS $ZZWAN command.)
•
The SCF STATUS PROCESS $ZZKRN.#ZZWAN command displays current status
information.
Displaying Event Messages
The WAN subsystem and the SWAN concentrator generate event messages. An event
message is a special category of Subsystem Programmatic Interface (SPI) message
that conveys information about an event or significant occurrence in the subsystem
environment.
Event messages that are converted into displayable text by an Event Management
Service (EMS) distributor process or by a user application are called operator
messages. You can view operator messages generated by the WAN subsystem and
SWAN concentrator through the OSM or TSM EMS Event Viewer. Operator messages
can also be sent to printers, log files, or terminals controlled by an EMS printing
distributor, or they can be sent to the EMS collector process on another server in the
network.
Events generated by the WAN subsystem and the SWAN concentrator are described
in the WANMGR and TRAPMUX sections, respectively, of the Operator Messages
Manual.
TASK Displays current status and configuration
information about a DLC task.
VERSION PROCESS Displays the version level of the ConMgr
process.
SUBSYS $ZZWAN Displays the version level of the $ZZWAN
subsystem.
