Reconfiguring the WAN Subsystem
WAN subsystem reconfiguration tasks include:
Adding WAN Subsystem Processes and Objects

You use the WAN subsystem SCF ADD command to add WAN subsystem processes
and objects.
For more information about adding WAN subsystem processes and objects, see
Section 4, Adding a SWAN Concentrator.
Adding the WAN Manager Process
The WAN manager process is defined by the NonStop Kernel subsystem as a
PROCESS object named $ZZKRN.#ZZWAN. You do not need to add the WAN
manager process; it is preconfigured by HP manufacturing in the SCF0000 file and
started during the system load sequence.

Table 5-2. WAN Subsystem SCF ADD Command Objects
Command Object Description
ADD ADAPTER Defines a SWAN concentrator to the configuration database.
DEVICE Defines a data-communications subsystem object to the
configuration database.
PATH Defines (to the configuration database) IP addresses for the
MAC addresses on SSC1 and SSC2 on each CLIP.
PROCESS Defines a ConMgr process to the configuration database. The
WANBoot, SNMP trap multiplexer, and TFTP server processes
are automatically configured by the WAN manager process.
PROFILE Defines a PROFILE object to the configuration database.
SERVER Defines a CLIP on a SWAN concentrator to the configuration
database.
