Stopping the WAN Manager Process
Subordinate objects must be placed in the STOPPED state first. For example, before
you can stop an ADAPTER object, you must stop its subordinate TASK, PATH, and
SERVER objects. The WAN subsystem object hierarchy is described in WAN
Subsystem Objects on page 6-2.
Stopping the WAN Manager Process
The WAN manager process is defined by the NonStop Kernel subsystem as a
PROCESS object named $ZZKRN.#ZZWAN. It is preconfigured by HP manufacturing
and started during the system load sequence.
You can stop the WAN manager process by using the Kernel subsystem SCF ABORT
PROCESS command as described in the SCF Reference Manual for the Kernel
Subsystem.
Starting WAN Subsystem Processes and Objects
You use the WAN subsystem SCF START command to start WAN subsystem
processes and objects.
PROCESS Terminates the use of a ConMgr, an SNMP trap multiplexer, a
TFTP server, or a WANBoot process. Terminating an auto-
configured process succeeds and requires you to start the
process to be active.
SERVER Terminates the use of a CLIP.
TASK Terminates a DLC task.
