ADD DEVICE Command
ADAPTER conc-name
indicates the SWAN concentrator to be used by the DEVICE.
ALTCPU alt-cpu-num
indicates the processor in which you want to run the backup process when it is
started by the WAN manager process.
CLIP clip-num
indicates which CLIP the DEVICE object will use.
CPU cpu-num
indicates the processor in which you want to run the primary process when it is
started by the WAN manager process.
HIGHPIN "ON" | "OFF"
indicates whether the data communications subsystem object is to be run highpin.
Value: The device name is a string of alphanumeric characters. The string is
limited to the number sign (#) followed by seven characters. The first
character must be an alphanumeric character. For subsystem-spe-
cific naming guidelines, see the manuals listed in Table 6-4 on
page 6-21.
Default: None provided.
Value: The name of the SWAN concentrator as specified in the ADD
ADAPTER command.
Default: None provided.
Value: The possible values are 0 through n.
Default: None provided.
Value: The possible values for the CLIP number are 1, 2, or 3 for a SWAN
concentrator and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 for a SWAN 2 concentrator.

Value: The possible values are ON or OFF.
