ADD PROCESS Command
IOPOBJECT object-file-name
indicates the file name of the executable object code for the ConMgr process.
SNMP Trap Multiplexer, TFTP Server, WANBoot Process
Syntax
Starting with the G06.13 RVU, you do not need to configure the SNMP trap multiplexer,
TFTP Server, or WANBoot processes. These processes are automatically configured
when a new ADAPTER object is added.
Considerations
If any of these processes were added using the old syntax, the G06.13 version of
the WAN manager process accepts the command and the add is successful. The
WAN manager process then tries to provide values for the TCP/IP and HOSTIP
attributes. If the WAN manager is successful, this process is used for that HOSTIP
(subnet). If the WAN manager process is not successful, this process remains in
the database unused. Because the HOSTIP and TCP/IP attributes could not be
allocated, the WAN manager process does not allow you to start the process.
Starting with G06.13, the STARTUP attribute has been removed. Any value given
in the STARTUP string is ignored, but the command is accepted for backward
compatibility.
The following notes describe considerations you should be aware of for the
ConMgr, SNMP trap multiplexer, TFTP server, and WANBoot processes.
ConMgr Process
One ConMgr process is required in each processor where a DEVICE object will be
configured.
SNMP Trap Multiplexer Process
The SNMP trap multiplexer process accepts SNMP trap task messages issued by
the SWAN concentrator CLIPs and converts them to Event Management Service
(EMS) messages.
Starting with the G06.13 RVU, only one SNMP Trap Multiplexer server process can
be configured for each subnet (the combination of TCP/IP process and HOSTIP
defines a subnet for WAN configuration purposes).
Value: The object file resides (by default) at $SYSTEM.SYSnn.CONMGR.
Default: None provided.
