ADD PROFILE Command
TFTP Server Process
•
Starting with the G06.13 RVU, only one TFTP Server process can be configured
for each subnet (the combination of TCP/IP process and HOSTIP defines a subnet
for WAN configuration purposes).
•
Starting with the G06.13 RVU of the WAN subsystem, the TFTP server process is
automatically configured by WanMgr. Each subnet is automatically configured with
this process as soon as the adapter is configured. There is no need to configure
this process as required in previous RVUs of the product.
•
Although the TFTP server process is configured with a backup process, it does not
run as a NonStop process pair. When the WAN manager process detects the
failure of the primary TFTP server process, it starts the backup process in the
alternate processor.
•
The download files accessed by the TFTP server process must be secured with
“N” read access.
WANBoot Process
•
Starting with the G06.13 RVU, only one WANBoot process can be configured for
each subnet (the combination of TCP/IP process and HOSTIP defines a subnet for
WAN configuration purposes).
•
Starting with the G06.13 RVU of the WAN subsystem, the WANBoot process is
automatically configured by the WAN manager process. Each subnet is
automatically configured with this process as soon as the adapter is configured for
that subnet. You do not need to configure this process as required in previous
RVUs of the product.
All Processes
WAN processes autoconfigured by the WAN manager process do not have to be
started manually. The processes are started by the WAN manager process.
ADD PROFILE Command
Use the ADD PROFILE command to define a profile to the configuration database. A
profile defines configuration modifiers that are used by the data-communications
subsystem objects. The PROFILE object is associated with a data-communications
subsystem object in the ADD DEVICE command.
The ADD PROFILE command has this syntax:
ADD PROFILE $ZZWAN.#profile-name
, FILE disc-file-name | LIKE existing-profile-name
[ , modifier-keyword [ modifier-value ] ]...
