ADD SERVER Command
profile-name
indicates the name of the profile.
FILE disc-file-name | LIKE existing-profile-name
disc-file-name indicates the location of the object file to be used to import the
configuration parameters into the profile you are adding. The configuration
parameters are maintained in the configuration database and are referenced by the
name in profile-name.
existing-profile-name indicates an existing profile name to be used as the
base for creating the new profile name given by profile-name.
modifier-keyword [ modifier-value ]
modifier-keyword and modifier-value specify product-specific
characteristics for the DEVICE object. modifier-keyword specifies a keyword
defined in profile-name, and modifier-value specifies a string of characters
associated with the specified modifier-keyword.
ADD SERVER Command
Use the ADD SERVER command to define a CLIP on a SWAN concentrator to the
configuration database.
The ADD SERVER command has this syntax:
Value: The profile name is a string of alphanumeric characters. The
string is limited to the number sign (#)followed by 10
characters. The first character must be an alphabetic
character.
The name of each profile must be unique within the
Integrity NonStop NS-series or NonStop S-series server.
Default: None provided.
Value: Profiles are described in the manuals listed in Table 6-4 on page 6-21.

Value: The name of a profile as specified in the ADD PROFILE command.
Default: None provided.
Value: See the manuals listed in Table 6-4 on page 6-21 for a description of
the modifier keywords and modifier values that apply to the data-com-
munications subsystem object you are configuring.
