ALTER Command
conc-name.clip-num
indicates a CLIP.
Considerations
•
The SWAN concentrator must have been previously defined with the ADD
ADAPTER command. Add the SERVER object with the ADD SERVER command.
The SERVER object is defined and is placed in the STOPPED state.
•
You must issue the ADD SERVER command three times to configure all three
CLIPs on the SWAN concentrator and six times to configure all six CLIPs on a
SWAN 2 concentrator.
•
You must issue a START SERVER command before you can use the CLIP.
ALTER Command
Use the ALTER command to modify the attributes of a WAN subsystem object.
ALTER ADAPTER Command
Use the ALTER ADAPTER command to change the values of the attributes of a SWAN
concentrator. The ALTER ADAPTER command changes only the specified attributes of
the target object.
Value: The SERVER name is the name of the SWAN concentrator,
followed by the CLIP number.
conc-name is the name of the SWAN concentrator as specified in
the ADD ADAPTER command.
clip-num is the CLIP number. The possible values for the CLIP
number are 1, 2, or 3 for a SWAN concentrator and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or
6 for a SWAN 2 concentrator.
Default: None provided.
