ALTER ADAPTER Command
HOSTIP ip-address
indicates the IP address assigned to a SUBNET on the preferred TCP/IP process
(specified in the TCP/IP attribute).
KERNELCODE swan-kernel-micode-file-name
indicates the name of the firmware object code of the microcode file you want to
run in the essential part of the FLASH memory.
The file name specified must be secured with āNā read access.
SNMPCODE swan-snmp-micode-file-name
indicates the name of the object file of the SNMP agent process that you want to
run in the CLIP.
This attribute is made optional for both the SWAN and SWAN 2 concentrators
because the SNMP module is linked with the SWAN NonStop Kernel (in G06.07
and later RVUs) and does not need to be downloaded.
SUBNETMASK subnet-mask
indicates the subnet mask of the SUBNET on the preferred TCP/IP process
(specified in the TCP/IP attribute). To address subnets within a LAN, the local
address portion of an IP address is subdivided into a subnet number that identifies
a particular subnet and a host number that identifies a host within the subnet.
Value: An IP address is a 4-octet (32-bit) numeric value. It is specified in

separated by periods; for example, 133.50.85.43. Each octet value is
a number in the range 0 through 255.
Default: None provided.
Value: $SYSTEM.CSSnn.C7953P00 (SWAN concentrator)
$SYSTEM.CSSnn.C7953Q00 (SWAN 2 concentrator)
Default: None provided.
