ALTER DEVICE Command
HIGHPIN "ON" | "OFF"
indicates whether the data communications subsystem object is to be run highpin.
IOPOBJECT object-file-name
indicates the file name of the executable object code for the data-communications
subsystem object. The manuals listed in Table 6-4 on page 6-21 describe the
IOPOBJECT default file names for DEVICE objects.
LINE line-num
selects the line number on the selected CLIP to be used by the DEVICE.
line-num must not have been previously selected for use by another DEVICE.
modifier-keyword [ modifier-value ]
modifier-keyword and modifier-value specify product-specific
characteristics for the DEVICE object. modifier-keyword specifies a keyword
defined in profile-name, and modifier-value specifies a string of characters
associated with the specified modifier-keyword.
PATH path-name
indicates which Ethernet path on the SWAN concentrator you prefer the device to
use.
RECSIZE | RSIZE max-rec-size
max-rec-size is supported by each DEVICE object. This value is returned by the
GET_DEVICE_INFO_ calls issued for the DEVICE after it has been started.
Value: The possible values are ON or OFF.
Default: OFF.
Value: The possible values are 0 or 1.
Default: None provided.
Value: See the manuals listed in Table 6-4
on page 6-21 for a description of
the modifier keywords and modifier values for the data-communica-
tions subsystem object you are modifying.
Default: None provided.
Value: The possible values are A or B. A indicates the A Ethernet path. B
indicates the B Ethernet path.
Default: None provided.
Value: RECSIZE is defined for each data-communications subsystem object
in the manuals listed in Table 6-4 on page 6-21.
Default: None provided by the WAN subsystem. If you don’t provide a value,
the default in the PROFILE object is used.
