ALTER PROCESS Command
To determine the IP address of a SUBNET, use the INFO SUBNET command as
shown in Example 6-1 on page 6-14.
TCP/IP tcpip-name
indicates the name of the preferred TCP/IP process that supports the SWAN
concentrator.
TYPE type , sub-type
indicates the NonStop Kernel registered type and subtype for the PROCESS
object. The type and subtype for an SNMP trap multiplexer process are 0,49.
Considerations
•
Starting with the G06.13 RVU, the STARTUP attribute has been removed. Any
value given in the STARTUP string is ignored.
•
You cannot alter the HOSTIP or TCP/IP attributes. If you try to alter them, an error
message occurs (for example, “No Adapter configured” or “Another process with
the same HOSTIP already configured”).
TFTP Server Process Syntax
The ALTER PROCESS command has this syntax for a TFTP server process:
process-name
indicates the name of the TFTP server process. The TFTP server process name
should follow the naming convention described in HP Manufacturing Naming
Conventions (G06.26 and Earlier RVUs) on page 1-3 or HP Manufacturing Naming
Conventions (G06.27 and Later RVUs and H06.03 and Later RVUs) on page 1-7.
Value: The name of the TCP/IP process as configured in the TCP/IP sub-
system SCF ADD PROCESS command.
Default: None provided.
