ALTER PROFILE Command
WANBoot Process
•
Since the WANBoot process is used to download IP addresses to the SWAN
concentrator, any IP addresses associated with the same TCP/IP subnet as the
WANBoot cannot be downloaded while the WANBoot process is aborted.
•
If the SWAN concentrator is powered on while the WANBoot process is aborted,
the SWAN concentrator cannot get its IP addresses downloaded, so no activity on
the SWAN concentrator can take place.
All Processes
•
You must stop the process with the STOP PROCESS command before you can
alter it.
•
You must issue a START PROCESS command before you can use the process.
ALTER PROFILE Command
Use the ALTER PROFILE command to change a PROFILE configuration. A profile
defines configuration modifiers that are used by the data-communications subsystem
objects.
The ALTER PROFILE command has this syntax:
profilename
is the profile name.
modifier-keyword
specifies product-specific characteristics for the DEVICE object. modifier-
keyword specifies a keyword defined in the profile name.
modifier-value
specifies product-specific characteristics for the DEVICE object. modifier-
value specifies a string of characters associated with the specified modifier-
keyword.
