Download File-Naming Convention
ConMgr, which is responsible for downloading files to SWAN or SWAN 2, detects
whether you have a SWAN concentrator, but are attempting to download a SWAN 2 file
(and vice-versa), and prevents the wrong file from being downloaded. Both SWAN and
SWAN 2 download files are placed at the $SYSTEM.CSSn subvolume.
To distinguish between SWAN and SWAN 2 downloadable files, this file-naming
convention is used:
•
For a SWAN concentrator (T3880), the downloadable file name takes the form
XnnnnPnn (such as C1094P00).
•
For a SWAN 2 concentrator (T3881), the downloadable file name takes the form
XnnnnQnn (such as C1094Q00).
The IOPs profile modifier PROGRAM holds the default value that points to the SWAN
downloadable file. The SWAN 2 changes do not require you to make any profile
changes.
ConMgr Download
ConMgr reads the downloadable file and verifies whether this file is a SWAN or a
SWAN 2 downloadable file.
The activate path requests and WanMgr requests to download (Add Task), ConMgr
changes are in the following table:
Value: Valid states are STARTED, STARTING, STOPPED, and STOPPING.
Default: None provided.
