STOP SERVER Command
ConMgr Process
•
DEVICE objects use the ConMgr process when they want to download DLC tasks
to the SWAN concentrator, so this activity cannot take place when the ConMgr
process that a device uses is stopped. Otherwise, device activity is not interrupted
by aborting the ConMgr.
•
The WAN manager process uses the ConMgr process when a START or STATUS
TASK command is issued, so this activity cannot take place when the ConMgr
process that the WAN manager process uses is stopped.
SNMP Trap Multiplexer Process
While the SNMP trap multiplexer process is stopped it cannot accept SNMP trap
messages issued by the SWAN concentrator CLIPs.
WANBoot Process
•
Since the WANBoot process downloads IP addresses to the SWAN concentrator,
any IP addresses associated with the same TCP/IP SUBNET as the WANBoot
process (through the ADD PATH or ALTER PATH command) cannot be
downloaded while the WANBoot process is aborted.
•
If the SWAN concentrator is powered on while the WANBoot process is aborted,
the SWAN concentrator cannot get its IP addresses downloaded, so no activity
occurs on the SWAN concentrator can take place. To download the IP address, the
SERVER must be in a STARTED state.
All Processes
The process can be recreated in the processor with the START PROCESS command.
STOP SERVER Command
Use the STOP SERVER command to terminate the use of a CLIP. STOP SERVER
prevents further use of the CLIP. You can also use the OSM Service Connection or the
TSM Service Application (G-series RVUs only). For more information about using OSM
or TSM, see the online help within each application.
The STOP SERVER command has this syntax:
STOP SERVER $ZZWAN.#conc-name.clip-num
[ , SUB { ALL | NONE | ONLY } ]
