STOP SERVER Command
conc-name.clip-num
indicates the server, or CLIP.
SUB { ALL | NONE | ONLY }
selects the subordinate objects the command affects.
ALL
specifies that the named object and the subordinate objects are affected.
NONE
specifies that the named object is affected but that the subordinate objects are
not. NONE is the default.
ONLY
specifies that only the subordinate objects are affected.
Considerations
•
The subordinate PATH and TASK objects must first be placed in the STOPPED
state, or the STOP SERVER command is rejected.
•
The state of the SERVER indicates whether the CLIP is being controlled by this
system.
•
After a STOP SERVER command is issued, the WANBoot process does not
respond to BOOTP requests from the CLIP.
•
After a STOP SERVER command is issued, you can do a firmware update through
the OSM Service Connection or the TSM Service Application (G-series RVUs
only).
Value: The SERVER name is the name of the SWAN concentrator, fol-
lowed by the CLIP number.
conc-name is the name of the SWAN concentrator as specified in
the ADD ADAPTER command.
clip-num is the CLIP number. The possible values for the CLIP
number are 1, 2, or 3 for a SWAN concentrator and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or
6 for a SWAN 2 concentrator.
Default: None provided.
Wild card: You can use the asterisk (*) to specify all configured SERVER
objects.
