Determining the Initial Configuration of a SWAN

Concentrator

You can use the SCF commands described in the following subsections to determine

how your SWAN concentrator is configured.

As an alternative to using multiple Subsystem Control Facility (SCF) commands, you

can also use the WAN Wizard Pro GUI, which guides you step-by-step through the

configuration process (see WAN Wizard Pro on page xix).

Displaying the Names of Configured SWAN Concentrators

Use the SCF NAMES ADAPTER command to display the names of all the configured

SWAN concentrators on your system. The command syntax is:

Example 1-1 shows two configured SWAN concentrators named $ZZWAN.#S01 and

$ZZWAN.#S02.

Displaying Information About Associated Subnets

Use the SCF command INFO SUBSYS $ZZWAN,SUBNETLIST to show each subnet

with the WAN processes configured and the number of adapters configured on that

subnet. (When an adapter is added with a new subnet, the WAN manager process

automatically configures the respective WAN processes of that new subnet

immediately.)
